BVRT’s Management Team
Shilen Patel, BVRT’s CEO, is an experienced executive leading diverse teams. His 20+ years of experience includes corporate development, strategy, operations, and capital management for water utilities large and small. Shilen’s responsibilities include setting business-unit strategies, developing cross-functional operational plans, identifying critical success metrics for the business, and laying the groundwork for their implementation. Shilen holds an MBA from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business and a BA in Economics from UC Santa Barbara.
Michael Gregory is BVRT’s Chief Financial Officer and EVP of Corporate Operations. He has 30+ years of experience in accounting, finance, capital acquisition, risk management, and corporate platform development with specialization in early-stage, high-growth companies. Mike has managed capital source relationships and served as a board of director advisor. He has also been trained in sales and marketing and has two patents to his name.
Bill Fry is BVRT’s General Manager, VP of Operations and President of O & M Management Services, LLC (OMMS), BVRT’s utility operations management company. Bill joined BVRT in 2018 following his retirement from Severn Trent Service, where he was Regional Manager of the Municipal Utility District business in Texas for over 34 years. He is responsible for BVRT’s overall operations and physical plant management strategy, the operations and profitability of OMMS, as well as the direct plant operations of all of BVRT’s utilities. Currently BVRT has 6 utilities that are operated and managed by OMMS. Bill holds Class B Wastewater, Surface and Groundwater Certifications in the Texas.
Carrie Carsell, GISP, is BVRT’s VP of Administration, Information Technology and Corporate Communications. She has more than 20 years of experience in the geospatial services and corporate communications industries and specializes in administering and managing enterprise systems, creating and maintaining geospatial data, overseeing creation of web-based assets, managing our technology and security vision, and training other staff on the best methodologies available. Carrie received her Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado, and she is a passionate believer in the power of converting technical information into attractive and highly effective vehicles for communication such as creating compelling visual images for advocacy, public education, and enabling decision makers to solve social and environmental issues.
BVRT’s Founder
Steven Greenberg founded BVRT Utility Holding Company in 2013. He has over 35 years of experience in the utility business with a broad range of responsibilities including operations, project management, business development, finance, regulatory and government affairs, and corporate executive management. Steven has presented at and provided testimony to Congress, State Legislatures, Public Utility Commissions, investor conferences, and industry trade groups. He has also authored and co-authored several papers, studies, and articles. Steven is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He remains connected with BVRT management and staff, our partners, our customers, and our friends!
